The Leicestershire Kidney Patients Association (LKPA) was established in 1976 by Professor John Walls to support renal patients and their families across Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and beyond.

Our members include patients, carers and renal staff of the John Walls Renal Unit, Leicester. The association is co-ordinated and managed by an elected voluntary committee.

With the money raised from donations and fund-raising events, the LKPA are able to give grants to patients for outings and holidays, and to buy essential items of household equipment. We also aim to provide patients with regular news updates and information with our quarterly newsletter. Consequently, any funds raised for the LKPA are very much appreciated and directly benefit these patients.  It has even been known that patients themselves raise money!
